XGLOBAL Invest is the investment management brand of X GLOBAL Markets Ltd. The investment management business was launched due to the demand for a service that would allow clients’ to grow their investments using a hands-off approach. Experienced portfolio managers allocate client funds to shares and exchange traded funds in stock markets that they have deep local knowledge of. Depending on a clients’ chosen risk appetite our managers either actively or passively manage their portfolio and will re-balance it on schedule.
X GLOBAL Markets Ltd is a key player in the field of online financial trading and has historically catered to self-directed clients but now works with both traders and investors. Since launching in 2012 XGLOBAL’s core values of providing fair, low-cost and transparent investment services has not changed much. However, the scope of services provided has broadened over the past several years. Historically, XGLOBAL focused on providing FX and precious metals instruments to its client base so they can trade the markets themselves on an OTC derivatives basis. Since then trading in stocks, ETFs, stock indices, commodities, energies and additional precious metals instruments have been introduced along with the investment management offering giving clients comprehensive investment and trading options. The company offers its services through the MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 platforms, which provide traders with an intuitive interface they are familiar with and provides investors a transparent view of their fund allocation and the decisions our managers take.
XGLOBAL Markets holds a Cyprus Investment Firm (CIF) license registered under no. 171/12 that was issued by CySEC (Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission). CySEC is the supervisory and regulatory authority of the Cyprus Stock Exchange and investment services firms in Cyprus. CySEC is a member of the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA). The Company is governed by the European Markets in Financial Instruments Directive and Regulation (MiFID II and MiFIR) and the Cyprus Investment Services and Activities and Regulated Markets Law of 2017 (Law 87(I)/2017).
Finanstilsynet: The financial regulator that manages financial business in Norway. XGLOBAL Markets is registered with Finanstilsynet to provide investment services within Norway under registration number 80075.
BaFin-Federal Financial Supervisory Authority: The financial supervisory authority of Germany oversees the financial markets in Germany. XGLOBAL Markets is registered with BaFIN to provide investment services within Germany with BaFIN ID 132843.
Using the MiFID passporting rules XGLOBAL Markets is free to provide cross border provision of services within the EEA. The Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID II) Directive 2014/65/EU is a European Union Law that provides harmonized regulation for investment services across the 31 member states of the European Economic Area. The main objective of the European Union’s MiFID II is to harmonize the governing of financial markets within the European Economic Area (EEA), and therefore to increase efficiency, improve financial transparency and consumer protection in investment services. MiFID II allows an investment firm to freely provide its services both across the EEA and to other countries, provided that such services are covered by the investment firm’s authorization.
XGLOBAL works closely with internal and external auditors that have been appointed based on their international reputations as leaders in their respective fields. We are proud to work with Baker Tilly for our external audits. Our external audits are submitted to our regulators on an annual basis and our pillar III reports are signed by our auditors.
The company follows the strict policy that all client funds are kept fully segregated from the Company’s own funds. This policy ensures that client funds cannot be used for any other purposes and are available for clients at all times. In addition, the Company is a member of the Investor Compensation Fund, which is administered by the Central Bank of Cyprus and covers eligible clients of Cyprus Investment Firms. Being a member of the Investor Compensation Fund provides our clients with an additional protection for their investment, MiFID retails clients are covered up to €20,000 by the ICF in Cyprus. The objective of the ICF is to secure claims (in connection with investment services – or ancillary services) against Cyprus Investment Firms, in the event of the inability of the member to fulfil its financial obligations.
